Happy Birthday Nancy! (aka Fun with the Big Shot!)

This is the birthday card I made for my Mother-in-Law for her 75th birthday.  She really appreciates what I do and so it was fun to make this extra special card for her.

I had fun with the Big Shot on this one.  I used the Scallop Circle die (113468, $19.95) to make the card base in Whisper White.  Then the Scallop Circle #2 (113469, $19.95) for the Pink Pirouette layer.  I then ran that through with the awesome Backgrounds 1 texture plates (114512, $11.95).  You might not be able to tell with this photo but I did sponge the raised portion to give it a little more depth. 

Then with Bashful Blue cardstock, lined with a piece of the Sticky Pages (114300, $6.95), I went one more time through the Big Shot to get the butterfly with the new exclusive  Beautiful Butterflies die (114507, $21.95).  After smooshing that into the Dazzling Diamonds glitter, I attached three half pearls from the Pretties Kit (109114, $29.95).  The antennae are made with wire, a paper clip would do.  Tie it up with a ribbon and there you have it!

Light Box

Here's a sample of a glass light box we made at one of my Gift Night classes.  This one was done by Peggy Kremer.  Can you can see the reflection of the trees?  These are easy-peasy to make!  I'll have another class for this soon.  Let me know if you want to make one and I'll put you on the list to be contacted first as this class will be limited to 5 participants.

February's Stamp Camp

I'd like to thank all the ladies who came to Stamp Camp this month!  We had a great time playing with the Big Shot Texture Plates, watercoloring with the blender pen, learning a new cascading layout style and using this beautiful background stamp featured here.  This Bella Toile stamp doesn't look like much in the catalog but oh, the image it creates!  Simple black and white with a splash of Riding Hood Red - Beautiful!!
