Leadership Conference

This year's Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference took place in Phoenix, AZ.  And what an amazing conference it was this year!  There is always great networking, chatting and giggling with fellow demonstrators as well as relevant business tips, creative ideas and fantastic lunches!  I will be posting some highlights in the next few weeks but to start, here is a picture of me with Shelli Gardner, the co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!  Note the fabulous bag I'm holding, it was our gift for attending (one of our gifts!)

Holiday Gift Night!

More Craft Fair tidbits

Here's something that I'm selling at the craft fair but also featuring in my Gift Night class on December 10th (details below).  This adorable tag goes over a bottle of wine instead of putting the wine in one of those silver bags!  The Chef from Voila says it all.  You can write your message on the back of the bottle and leave it with a hostess or give as a thank you or say Happy New Year!  They're not holiday specific so you can use them all year long.

Christmas Jingle Class

I have a class on my calendar for Quick & Easy Holiday Cards.  It uses the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit.  Here's a sampling of what the cards look like.  In the class, you will make 20 cards using elements from this kit. 

You must pre-register for this class as the kits need to be ordered on October 28th.  Please do so below for either date.

Sunday, November 8th at 1:00-4:00 pm at The Craft Cubby (my house in Lagrangeville)

Saturday, November 14th at 6:00-9:00 pm in Gansevoort, NY (my sister's house)

Or you can order a kit to pick up and do on your own!

World Card Making Day!

Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm I'll be turning my old swaps and samples into full cards.  These will then be paired with an envelope and sent overseas to soldiers so that they may send cards home to their loved ones.  Please join me during this time in my studio!  If you cannot make it but want to contribute, I'll accept cards to send along with mine until 10/12/09.

Make a card, everyone!  Send it along!

World Card Making Day!

Each year, the first Saturday of October is World Card Making Day!  The Crafty Stamper will once again have an event to make cards!  As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I participate in card swaps to get samples and ideas to show my customers.  Once the products used to make those samples are discontinued, I can no longer use those samples as display.  SO, I've decided that my World Card Making Day event, each year, will be to take those samples and turn them into full cards.  This is easily done by adhering them to a neutral colored cardstock card base.  We then pair the card with an envelope, put it in a clear sleeve and send the cards to our military troops overseas.  These cards can then be used by the soldiers to send a note home to a loved one.  How sweet is that???

This event is FREE to the stampers who come.  Really, it's a community service project sponsored by The Crafty Stamper.  I supply the materials, you supply the labor.  And it's a labor of love!

So, join me on Sunday, October 4th at the Crafty Stamper Studio in LaGrange NY.  We'll be working from 2:00-5:00pm and our goal is 100 cards.  Please RSVP your intent to attend by email or phone (845.797.8791) and I'll give you directions if needed.
