New Punch Design

Starting with the new 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and continuing with all new punch designs going forward, Stampin' Up! has adopted a new body style for our punches!

A few features of the new punch style:

• Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
• Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
• Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
• Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
• New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
• Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog
• Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners

Featured Product - Stampin' Dimensionals

This is a new feature I'm trying out for my blog.  I'm going to talk about one of SU's great products each Monday and just let you know that it exists and what it's used for.  I will focus on tools and accessories.

Stampin' Dimensionals! (104430)

One of my favorite adhesives because they HOLD whatever you stick on them!

There are 300 double-sided foam mounts (dimensionals) in one pack for only $3.95.  Plus, you can use the edges too.  These add height to your layers giving your project added dimension.  I personally like to use them every time I place a piece over a ribbon to give the ribbon space and not crush the image.  They are self-adhesive and can also be layer onto themselves for more height!

The Dormant List is Retiring

Now that Stampin' Up! is back to one catalog per year, the dormant list is no longer needed.  This one was kept until now due to the promise that stamps sets would be available for one year from release date.  Well, that year is up so it's time to say good bye!  Be sure to check out this list and see if there are any on your wish list.  You have until the end of the year to get them so act now!

Christmas Jingle Class

I have a class on my calendar for Quick & Easy Holiday Cards.  It uses the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit.  Here's a sampling of what the cards look like.  In the class, you will make 20 cards using elements from this kit. 

You must pre-register for this class as the kits need to be ordered on October 28th.  Please do so below for either date.

Sunday, November 8th at 1:00-4:00 pm at The Craft Cubby (my house in Lagrangeville)

Saturday, November 14th at 6:00-9:00 pm in Gansevoort, NY (my sister's house)

My Digital Studio

This video gives an overview of the new product from Stampin' Up! called My Digital Studio.  This digital scrapbooking software program has infinite possibilities for application.  Please take a moment to watch it and be on the lookout for my free Introduction to MDS class.  I will make a presentation with this great program to show what it can do probably in early December.  What a great gift!!

Hello from Philadelphia!

I'm in Philly this week for a conference on Sign Language interpreting.  It's another "thing I do" and I like to keep current on what's happening and what's coming up. 

Speaking of what's coming up, here's a sneak peek at some of the new items I have in my craft room. 

There's a new die for the Big Shot which makes adorable boxes that can be used for party favors or gift packaging.  There is new ribbon, perfect for holiday cards and scrapbook pages.  I can't wait to put the new alphabet together, it's so elegant!  And the impressions texture plate - oooooh!  So pretty!
