Missed you at stamp camp today!

Today was the March Stamp Camp and this is one of the projects we made.  This darling little box was originally designed by Barb M and uses a little flower that we learned to make in Phoenix at the Regional seminar.  I just adore the Fancy Favor Box!  I included a cello bag and some pink satin ribbon for inserting a treat.  High school student Rebecca is going to put a pair of earrings and a gift card in this for her friend who has a birthday coming up.  The possibilities are endless!

Tomorrow is Girls with Glue week 2!  We're putting together giant clothespin photo holders.  I'll post pictures tomorrow or Thursday.

February Fury - Will I Get Home?

As some of you know, my son and I are visiting my friend in Virgina Beach this week. Well, as most of you know, there is/was a huge Winter Storm over the Northeast. My original flight for Thursday was canceled, then so was the alternate flight for Friday. Then they put me on one for Sunday so I'm here an extra four days! Thank goodness I'm with a friend with a washing machine!  I had scheduled my blog posts this week before I left so this one needed to be done while here.  Thank goodness I'm obsessed with technology and brought my laptop!  And thank goodness I had this cute house card to remind me of home! (Okay, so that doesn't look like my home but you know what I mean)

I created the card below with lots of NEW Stampin' Up! supplies for a swap at our group meeting.  The stamp sets are both sets you can earn for free from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I don't have my books with me so I can't remember the exact names (for shame!) but I believe the house set is called Good Neighbor.  The words are similar to the set Whimsical Words from the Occasions Mini catalog (and that's where the texture folder for the polka dot background is).  The colors are In Colors for this season (Bermuda Bay and Dusty Durango). Wouldn't this make a nice card for a new homeowner?

More Birds at Camp

Tuesday, March 2nd (4:00-6:00p or 7:00-9:00p) and Wednesday, March 3rd (9:30-11:30a) is my monthly stamp camp.  As I mentioned yesterday, I'm loving this new Two-Step Bird punch.  This is a card we'll be making at camp this month.  Lisa Y from NJ created it for a swap at a group meeting and I just LOVE how she used the two colors to make the robin.  With all this snow, we could use a little spring, right?  So, join me for camp on Tuesday or Wednesday!  Give me a call to RSVP - 845-797-8791

Love the new Two-Step Bird punch!

When I first saw this punch in Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog I thought, well, I can live without that.  Boy was I wrong!!  I LOVE this little guy.  So simple and clean and just plain happy!

This was a card we did at a recent stamp camp.  I'm going to include this card/layout in an upcoming Stamp-A-Stack of All Occasion cards because it's generic enough that it will fit ANY greeting.  I may change the colors a bit but I love bluebirds so I may not.

The sentiment is from Well-Scripted in the mini catalog too.  I bought this one in the clear mount version and I'm starting to like the idea!  I plan to make a video about the clear mount system soon so stay tuned!

Christmas Bag (found today!)

Well, I found the picture today.  This is the bag I made for our group's Holiday Party.  Inside is a silk scarf that I made.  I'll be putting together a tutorial for that soon.  (Found those pictures too!)  So, this bag is made from just 2 sheets of our Designer Series Paper.  The directions were made available during the 12 Weeks of Christmas projects that were sent out to my newsletter subscribers before Christmas.  It's so easy and I must say that because of this bag, my gift was the first one chosen for our Grab Bag!!  Presentation is everything....

New Kids Class Underway

"Girls With Glue" has officially begun! 

This class is designed for girls (and boys) ages 8-12.  In this four week program, children's imaginations will soar as they learn several crafting techniques using various materials. They will learn how to follow patterns, listen to directions and properly use, clean and store their supplies.  Each week, they'll go home with a new masterpiece!

 
The class takes place in my home studio in LaGrange, NY (near Poughkeepsie) on consecutive Wednesdays.  There are two sessions: 4:00-5:00 pmor 7:00-8:00pm.  The fee is $30 for the four week program.  Limited to 8 children per session.

Pictured here is the project we made our first week.  The girls used the Big Shot and some chipboard coasters along with Designer Papers to make these adorable Bag Tags!

Got Wine?

This fancy chef sure can serve up a smile!  I just love this guy!  We made these Wine Bottle Tags as one of the projects for Stamp Out Breast Cancer in the fall.  I also made some to sell at my winter craft fairs.

I think this tag is very versatile and can be changed up and used for many occasions.  The Voila stamp set includes the chef and a couple of items to put on his tray.  The Voila to Go stamp set has six more images for the tray!  All occasions are represented - well, occasions that you'd bring or give a bottle of wine anyway...

More Valentines for the kids

These were the treats Maggie brought to her 4th grade classmates.  Some like candy corn, some don't.  Oh well!

This is a very simple treat bag.  I used the small cello bags from Stampin' Up! and the Top Note die with the Big Shot.  They fit perfectly together!  There's one staple holding the bag closed.

The staple is covered with the hearts and greeting.  The black heart is from the Sizzlets Heart set.  The white heart is the NEW Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit.  The die cuts the heart out and at the same time puts in all those little dots!  Too Cool!

The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes which fits perfectly in the Word Window punch which then aligns perfectly with the Modern Label punch. I just LOVE how all SU stuff coordinates!

We stamped from: Maggie on the back since we have a "Maggie" stamp and she didn't want to write her name all those times... oh well, choose your battles, right?

Valentines for the kids!

How cute are these?  A simple little Valentine treat for little friends!  We made a bunch of these for my 4-year-old Ryan to bring to his daycare friends and his gymnastics classmates.  The kids LOVED them!

We used the Flower Folds die and the Big Shot to cut out the flowers.  Just punched a hole in the center to stick the lollipop through!

The leaf is the Large Oval punch.  I wrote "from Ryan" on them and then attached to the flower with a Glue Dot.  Super Easy and FUN to give away.

My Favorite Valentine

This is my favorite Valentine's Day card this year.  It's very similar to a Christmas card I made but this one uses the embosslit Scalloped Heart of Hearts instead of the ornament punch.  I love using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder "upside down" to get that tree effect.  So simple, so pretty... 

This is not the card I'm giving MY sweetie though.  That one will have to wait as it needs to be a surprise for him!
